Nobull Trainers excel in high-intensity workouts with their stability, durability, and minimalist design, which I love. In the meantime, the Nobull Runners offer versatility for both running and training, featuring cushioning and flexibility for seamless transition.

The model name says it all. The Trainers lineup of Nobull is for concentrated CrossFit use. Their flat sole design philosophy helps a lot with my weightlifting training.
Also, the intense grip I get from the Trainer+ is hard to overlook when I am box-jumping.
In contrast, the runner has a versatile design. Its sole seems flat but has a good curve on the toe section to support you while running.
The good thing about the Runners models is that I can effortlessly transition between the Gym session and pavement pounding. Also, Runners have far greater cushioning than Trainer’s models, and Runners are more breathable.

On the other hand, the Runner models mostly use Engineered mesh.
I have the Knit Runner model, which utilizes knit materials and offers a sock-like fit and excellent ventilation.
Design
On the design, you will notice a huge difference. The change is not just for the Trainers and Runners lineups but also expands among the different models.
I am drawn to the Trainer’s models’ basic converse-like design. Also, their uncomplicated color scheme makes it easy to identify them, even when I switch between models.
Also, most of the Trainer modes offer flat sole design and keep the heel-to-toe drop minimal.
Meanwhile, the Runners feature a more flexible upper design compared to trainers. I don’t have to worry about ventilation and running support for the aggressive heel-to-toe drop (average 12 mm) design.
Nobull Trainers and Runners offer durable and functional upper materials. The design is minimal for both of the models. But I love the upper design of the Trainer’s models for their everlasting look and support for rope climbing.

Nobull Trainer uses high-density EVA foam, a durable and firm material.
The midsole of the Trainer’s model is minimalist with the slightest comfort. This allows optimal power transfer during lifts and exercises like box jumps or double unders.
On the contrary, Nobull Runners prioritize cushioning and energy return for long-distance comfort and performance. Runner’s midsoles often utilize Phylon, a type of EVA foam known for its cushioning properties.
The midsole of Runners absorbs shock effectively and provides a comfortable ride for extended runs.
Outsole
The outsole of the Trainer model is constructed with carbon rubber. Also, the iconic SuperFlat outsole is a signature feature of Nobull Trainers.
Furthermore, it has some conventional lug patterns, such as the herringbone pattern, which looks wavy.
Meanwhile, the outsole of the Runner is made with rubber, but they construct it from a single piece. Also, Runners feature a more flexible outsole compared to trainers. This allows for a natural stride and better adaptability to various running terrains.
The soles of Runners and Trainers are perfectly built up for their purposeful use.
When I’m performing a heavy squat in the Trainer+ model, the flat outsole and minimal midsole provide me confidence with the connected-to-floor impression.
Concurrently, the Knit Runner responds with the soles in the long run. Its responsive midsole and outsole absorb the impact of each stride, while the flexible outsole adapts to every step.
Ultimately, the soles are perfect for their purposes. But if you ask me to pick one, I will choose the soles for Runner as they provide more cushioning.
4. Size and Fit
Nobull Trainers and Runners are designed to fit true to size for most people. However, I have wider feet, so sizing up half a size better matches my Trainer+ shoe.
The Trainers provide constrained support to your foot to hold in place and it’s a bit tighter than the Runners model.

One crucial issue with the Trainer’s model is the arch support. I will say it doesn’t have any arch support out of the box, and I use an insole for my Trainer+ model.
But, the Runner models provide far better arch support out of the box.

But, the Runners provide 10 mm to 12 mm of heel-to-toe drop for shoe purposes. They give these extra angles to prioritize both compost and performance.
Also, the heel of Runners models is slightly elevated, which reduces stress on the Achilles tendon, preventing potential pain and discomfort during extended runs.
Though the heel-to-toe drop is better in the Runners, I prefer the Trainer’s minimal heel-to-toe drop. Also, that supported me immensely in my training session.

7. Performance & Durability
Nobull Trainers are versatile shoes that are primarily crafted for cross-training. The best thing I like about my Trainer+ model is I can use it in my gym, wear it all day, and it’s even good to use in court sports.
Also, in my training period, it provides exceptional performance with an intense grip.
Even when I am rope climbing, the trainer+ model provides good gripping. It has a lug pattern extending inside the shoe, which helps hold the rope.
While offering this heavy performance, the Trainer model doesn’t compromise durability. I beat my shoe for a year and a half now, and it still holds the color and other aesthetics. The only issue I have to take care of is the midsole.

NoBull Runners are created explicitly for running enthusiasts. They are optimized for comfort and performance during runs, whether hitting the pavement or exploring trails.

While the runner can be used for outdoor running, it will not be as durable as dedicated running shoes on the market.
